Our children love waking up the morning of St. Patrick’s Day and seeing the mess the leprechaun has made for them. Last year, I think our dog tried very hard to eat some of the mess the leprechaun had made but was unsuccessful. Do any leprechauns visit your home?

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

What do you do to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? I’m not sure there are a lot of people who do a whole bunch for St. Patrick’s Day, but I am sure there are a lot traditions! In our area people usually celebrate by attending a local parade, eating corn beef and sauerkraut for dinner or enjoying a green beer or two.

Celebrating this day was originally done so to commemorate Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. However, it gradually became more of a secular celebration of being Irish and the Irish culture. What I did not know, and I just learned is that, if you celebrate lent then the restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol is lifted for the day.

Easter Card Crafts

Easter will be here before you know it. Have you started preparing yet? I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that it is almost the end of February already! However, I didn’t want to wait too long before I started playing around with my Everybunny stamp set from Stampin’ Up. It is such a cute set with all the adorable little bunnies. There are so many different options to go with this set. For today though, I wanted to create some Easter card crafts that would be bright, cherry and springy. Since it is quite cold here in Illinois, I felt I could use a little Spring colors to lighten my mood! I think I accomplished that with all the cool bright colors.

It has been a long time since I have played around with the watercolor collection and blender pens. I love how well it turned out. I had forgotten how much I love to use those items! The blender pens work so well with the watercolor collections since the blender pens are not very wet, it really gives you a lot of control over the blend.
